Yamarita and Tomatoes Sauce. An oil free tomato sauce accompanies the yam and egg, which is good enough for people with low oil requirement. Add onions and garlic and stir until fragrant and translucent. I decided to serve with tomato stew.

This shakara yamarita recipe is not that different from any other yamarita recipe but it is best served with a tomato based sauce or ketchup with a tinge of spice for heat.
It is also a more decadent version than you are probably used to.

Ingredients of Yamarita and Tomatoes Sauce

Prepare of Yam.

Prepare 2 of eggs.

It’s 1/2 cup of flour.

You need of Salt.

It’s 1 tsp of seasoning powder.

You need of Oil for frying.

You need of Tomatoes.

You need 3 of scotch bonnet.

It’s 1/2 tsp of ginger paste.

Prepare 1/2 tsp of garlic paste.

You need 1 tbsp of oil.

Prepare 1 tsp of seasoning powder.
You can also add more ingredients to it but ensure you chop it into little pieces.
Add the crushed tomatoes, marinara sauce and tomato paste.
Stir to combine, and then add the sugar, salt, oregano, thyme, crushed red pepper if using and bay leaves.
Stir, and then add the cooked ground beef and sausage and stir to combine.

Cut the yam, wash and boiled with salt.

Beat the eggs in a bowl add salt and seasoning.

Mix the flour with seasoning.

Heat up oil in a pan when is hot take the yam and soak it in the beated eggs and roll it in the flour, and then fry.

Blend the tomatoes and scotch bonnet, heat up oil and fry the spices, add the blended tomatoes and seasoning fry for some minutes.
