I did like the soup but needed to add more vinegar to get the "sour" and more cornstarch for a thicker soup.
Cook longer if needed until golden brown.

Mix the sugar, tamari, gochujang and water in a bowl.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the garlic and onion until golden brown.
Add the canola oil, grated ginger, and the sliced white ends of the green onion to a large pot.

Let them boil and simmer until the gochujang is dissolved..

Add tofu, soy sauce and salt to taste. Cook for another 3-4 minutes. Lastly add a few drops of sesame oil and lemon juice, then turn off the heat and serve. Don’t forget to sprinkle green onion as a garnish. Enjoy!.
