Recipe: Delicious IRAL NONGHU CURRY/ PRAWN PALM FRUIT CURRY Delicious, fresh and tasty.

IRAL NONGHU CURRY/ PRAWN PALM FRUIT CURRY. Clean prawns, wash them well and set aside. Take all roasting spices in a heavy bottom pan and toast them till golden. Cool them down and take them in a blender.

Stir well. / இறால் பிரை / Prawn Roast / Prawn Fry / Stir Fried Masala Coated Prawns (Kerala Style).

Add in curry leaves and green chilli to it and toss well.

Now add in the marinated prawns and toss well so that it coats in the oil.

It will start to leach out some water, but you keep stirring untill it gets dry and all the masala.

IRAL NONGHU CURRY/ PRAWN PALM FRUIT CURRY instructions

  1. In pan add Ghee. When its hot add Cinnamon and Bay leaf. Let the fragrance come out..

  2. Add chopped onions and chillies. Saute till onions turn brown..

  3. Add cashews. Saute it. Then add palm fruit and saute..

  4. Add all powders..

  5. Add curry leaves..

  6. Now add prawns and saute it. Then add coconut milk..

  7. Let it cook for 10minutes with lid closed..

  8. After 10 minutes open the lid and serve it hot with rice, appam, idiyappam etc. Yummy dish, try this for sure..

The cake should feel springy to the touch, but a little softer in the middle is good.

While the cake is baking, mix all the syrup ingredients together in a medium jug.

Place corn and garlic on a baking sheet.

Remove garlic from foil and place in a small bowl; cool.

When corn is cool enough to handle, remove corn from cobs with a sharp knife.
