It has a delicious chocolate flavor that's just chocolate-y enough without being too rich, and a fudgy moist texture that makes the cake so irresistible.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt.

Chocolate Sheet Cake (Thermomix) step by step

  1. In kitchen helper (e.g. Thermomix) combine Dry Ingredients = DI.

  2. Speed 8 for 5 sec.

  3. Place into seperate bowl.

  4. Add all 3 "Hot" ingredients.

  5. 80°C 4min speed 1.

  6. Let cool down to 37°C.

  7. Pour thin batter carefully into lined baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 20 min at 175°C.

  9. While baking, rinse out TM and heat all but the sugar and vanilla at 80°C for 2 min speed 1.

  10. Now last add: sugar and vanilla for 5 sec at speed 4.

In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, baking soda, vanilla and eggs.

Stir buttermilk mixture into butter/chocolate mixture.

While cake is baking, make the icing.

Add cocoa, stir to combine, then turn off heat.

Add the milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
