Recipe: Tasty Jelly filled mango sandesh Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Jelly filled mango sandesh. Mango sandesh or aam sandesh can be easily made at home with a specific time period to produce the base of this sandesh and later stuffed with homemade mango jelly. I shape this sandesh like real mango and garnished it with peeled out pistachios to make its leaves and stems. The Mango shaped especial SANDESH is from Nalin Chandra Das & Sons, Kolkata.

Sandesh or Sondesh is a famous sweet of Bengal, made of Paneer/chhena or cottage cheese.

Its can be made with different flavours.

This time I have made it everyone's favourite fruit mango.

You can cook Jelly filled mango sandesh using 6 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Jelly filled mango sandesh

  1. Prepare 1 litre of full cream milk.

  2. It’s 2 of medium size lemon.

  3. It’s 2-3 of medium sized mangoes.

  4. Prepare 1 cup of sugar.

  5. It’s handful of cloves.

  6. It’s 3-4 tablespoon of honey.

Naturally I can't actually remember the taste but all I have a image of the sandesh in my mind; a tiny piece of mango on the top of a square sandesh (not to mention the sandesh was regular one).

But it was a big thing back then and little I was so excited about it along with grandpa.

Mango steamed sandesh or aam bhapa sondesh.

Jelly filled mango sandesh step by step

  1. Boil 1 litre full cream milk. Turn off the gas. Squize the lemon juice. Add 2/3 tablespoon water.Add this lemon juice water mixture to the milk Gradually and keep mixing till the milk cuddles fully..

  2. Strain the chana over a muslin cloth. Wash it throughly under running water to get rid of the lemony smell. Hung it for 30 minutes..

  3. Smash the chana with the help of palm to make it smooth..

  4. Wash and cut the mangoes into cubes. Blend them smoothly to a puree..

  5. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup mango purée with smashed chana. Heat a pan. Cook the chana mix at low flame. Stir continuously till the Mixture starts leaving the pan and settled together. Turn off the gas. Let it cool..

  6. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and honey with 1 cup mango purée. Heat a pan. Cook the mixture till it form a thick jelly.let it cook..

  7. Make equal sized smooth ball from The chana mix. Flatten them put 1 teaspoon mango jelly at the centre. Carefully close it and give the shape of mango. Put 1 clove on top..

  8. Delicious jelly filled mango sandesh is ready to serve..

Recipe is same as we make rasgulla just add mango puree with sugar syrup.

And I stuffed the rasgulla with small pieces of mango.
