Recipe: Appetizing Methi rohu fish Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Methi rohu fish. This fish dish, we try when we are in hurry and have to cook an elaborate meal for all. This fish dish needs very little time to cook and can be prepared with very few ingredients. All you need is fresh carp (rohu or katla) as fish pieces are not fried before cooking.

It consists of a spicy rich creamy yoghurt based gravy and mostly prepared when guests come or on some festive occasion and served with steamed rice,pulao or jeera rice.

If you wish you can lightly fry the fish pieces and then cook with other ingredients.

This fish recipe goes very well with steamed rice only!

Ingredients of Methi rohu fish

  1. Prepare of Ruhu fish.

  2. It’s of Methi saag cut into small pieces.

  3. You need of Turmeric powder.

  4. Prepare of Ginger juice.

  5. You need of Green chilli.

  6. You need of Curd.

  7. You need of Cumin powder.

  8. You need of Salt as per necessary.

  9. Prepare of Oil optional.

Note: If you are using the tomato, then add the pureed tomato after the above.

  1. Take a bowl add fishes,and all ingredients.

  2. Keep it marinate for 2 hour..

  3. Now take a microwave bowl add all ingredients..

  4. Keep it for 7 minutes for normal temperature 180 °c..

  5. Then after 5 minutes keep it..

  6. Now its time to serve with steam rice..

Wash the fish and rub ginger garlic paste on it.

Now take a pan and put the oil in it.

Note: The Bengali five spice mix consists of equal quantities of fenugreek or methi seeds, nigella seeds or kalonji, cumin seeds or jeera, black mustard seeds or rai, and fennel seeds or saunf.

Soak the mustard seeds and poppy seeds in a little water.

Add egg and gram flour to the fish mix well if needed add food color. do not add water to mix.
