Tempting lemon pickle (homemade) instructions

  1. Firstly wash lemons then pat dry it very well using a kitchen towel then slice it or chop it in desired shape triangles like so then add salt, turmeric powder then store in a container for about 3-5 days for best results make sure everyday you mix it & kindly stay miles away from water while you touch the pickle jar..

  2. After 5 days remove it in a open bowl mix it set aside now get ready for the tempering part will do it in two parts.

  3. 1 part of tempering we will make fine powder of pickle masala then in a pan add salt as cup of oil then add few curry leaves, Kashmiri dry red chilli’s just for 3-4 minutes stirr it then off the flame let it cool down to room temperature then pop it the in pickle.

  4. Add sugar mix well.

  5. Now 2 part of tempering add the rest of the oil in pan & add garlic cloves chopped while it’s slightly golden add in the cumin seeds,curry leaves,mustard seeds,black seeds after 3-minutes off the flame while it’s cool again add in the pickle jar stir slightly.

  6. The drooling tempting lemon pickle is ready store in a glass jar or in a regular container for long time & enjoy with meals..

  7. Tip of the day: be generous while you do the tempering as the oil will be more enough in it to cover the pickles otherwise it will be dry. And if you add the tempering hot it will turn black as you store it.
