Sometimes I make the rava idli and on days when we are in the mood to eat sanna (Mangalorean/Goan idlies made with batter fermented with yeast) I make those or on rare occasions its the ragi idli that makes its appearance.
Moong dal idli instructions

Soak moong daal for 3-4 hrs.

Grind moong dal, green chilli and garlic together make a batter of poring consistency not too thin not thick.

Now add salt oil and turmeric powder to the batter mix it very well until it becomes fluffy.

Till then heat and grese the idli cooker at last add 1n half tbsp of fruit salt to the batter mix it well.

Pour it into idli cooker steam for 15 min..

Then make a tadka add oil to the pan green chilli, seasame seeds, rai, curry leaves lets crackl them add idli.

Serve with any kind of chutney or tomato sauce.
Now the moong dal idlies are added to my idli repertoire!
