Palak paratha with Boondi Raita. To serve it as a wholesome meal, you can pair this Palak Paratha with a nice Boondi raita or pickle. To accentuate the taste of this paratha, add a dollop of ghee or white butter. You can also add a tablespoon ghee, while kneading the dough this will give a nice taste to this authentic Indian delicacy.

It can be prepared in advance and stored in a casserole to eat later.

Spinach paratha is generally served with plain yogurt or a cold refreshing raita like: Boondi raita.

Boondi raita is made by blending homemade fresh yogurt with sugar, salt ,roasted cumin seeds, chopped coriander and mint leaves.

You can cook Palak paratha with Boondi Raita using 11 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Palak paratha with Boondi Raita

  1. Prepare 2 cups of whole wheat flour.

  2. You need 1 1/2 cups of spinach or palak.

  3. You need 1/2 inch of ginger.

  4. It’s 4 tbsp of roasted besan.

  5. You need to taste of Salt.

  6. Prepare 1 tbsp of ghee.

  7. You need 1 tsp of roasted and roughly crushed coriander seeds.

  8. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.

  9. You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  10. You need 1/2 tsp of garam masala.

  11. Prepare of Water as required.

To keep the raita crunchy, boondi (fried gram flour balls) is added just while serving the raita.

The boondi raita is a perfect accompaniment with green veg palak (spinach ) rice.

Palak puri is a wonderful breakfast idea, the colour is just from palak but so vibrant and appealing.

Palak paratha with Boondi Raita step by step

  1. Take whole wheat flour in a plate to it add all the dry masala along with ghee and roasted besan. Mix it properly by rubbing the dry flour in between your palm so that everything get mixed properly.

  2. Now start adding little water and make a medium consistency dough.

  3. Keep tawa in the heat and switch on the heat to medium flame..

  4. Make tennis size ball if the prepared dough and roll it to make a paratha.

  5. Put it on the tawa and start cooking it on medium flame by flipping it now and then and pressing it with spatula..

  6. Your paratha is ready to serve..

  7. Enjoy it with Boondi raita and pickle..

Really easy to prepare. palak puri is made by adding palak puree while making dough for puri.

This boondi raita is a perfect combo for palak puri, it goes well with each other.
