In a chakli maker select the sev making gauge and grease it with some oil. Take a portion of the dough and fill it in the chakli maker shut it. Meanwhile grease idli moulds. In these moulds press the chakli press and fill the moulds..

Place this moulds in a pan which is filled with steaming water..

Steam the idli moulds for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat.Let the moulds cool. Remove the string hoppers..
