  3. Keep the dough covered for 5 minutes. Pour 1/2 tsp Oil and knead the dough with your hands slightly. Be cautious because the dough will be hot..

  4. Wet your hands and knead the dough gently till soft. Grease the idli plate and idiyappam press with little oil. Prepare small balls and load it into the press. Press in circular motion on the idly plate to get idiyappam shape..

  5. Transfer the plate into a idli steamer and steam for 8 minutes on medium flame. Switch off the flame and keep undisturbed for 5 minutes so that it will be easy to remove..

  6. Serve idiyappam with coconut milk or any gravy..
