Where does keema matar come from?

Keema/Kima, as we call it in Bengali, is a staple curry in many Bangladeshi and Pakistani households.

This particular version, Classic Keema Matar (mince with peas) is one of two favourites in my own house, the other being Aloo Keema (mince with potatoes).

Ingredients of Qeema matar

  1. You need 1/2 kg of mince(beef).

  2. Prepare 2 cup of peas.

  3. It’s 1 tbs of Ginger paste.

  4. Prepare 1 tbs of Garlic paste.

  5. You need 1 of onions.

  6. It’s of Salt.

  7. It’s of Paprika.

  8. You need of Turmaric powder.

  9. It’s 1 tsp of Garam masala powder.

  10. You need of Oil.

  11. It’s 1 of tomatoes.

  12. Prepare 2 of Curry leaves.

Both curries can be made following this recipe, simply replace the peas with potatoes.

  2. Add mice and Curry leaves and spices in pot and stir fry..

  3. Then add peas and stir fry. Then add some water and cover it.cook till peas become soft..

  4. Garnish garam masala and fresh corinder and serve with roti or rice..
