Russian kotlety meat patties are made out of the ground meat mixture that is shaped into patties and pan-fried. You can make these Russian meat patties out of any kind of ground meat: ground beef, ground pork, ground chicken or ground turkey.

I use half beef (or substitute ground turkey for the beef) and make a paste out of white bread and milk that I add to the meat along with the other seasonings instead of water.

Great with onion roasted potatoes (Lipton onion soup and olive oil).

  1. First, Wash the entire boneless chicken very well. Then, take a pan pour 2 glasses of water and add cleaned chicken. Now add 1 tbsp. Of ginger garlic green chilli paste, salt and black pepper to Taste. Let the chicken boiled on medium to high flame for 10 min..

  2. Meanwhile take a bowl and mashed boiled potato..

  3. After 10 min. Turn of the gas and remove water from chicken mixture. And let the mixture cool down for next 5 min. Once it cool down shred chicken with hand (or you can use mini chopper as well).

  4. In a mashed potato bowl add shred chicken, vegetables, remaining ginger garlic and green chilli paste, vegetables, all the Masalas and a tsp of oil..

  5. Knead everything well and make it like a dough..

  6. Take 1 portion of mixture from the bowl give it a nice patty or tikki shape..

  7. Now take a sevaiyya and beated eggs in each plate.

  8. Dip the form patty in egg mixture and then sevaiya mixture.

  9. Heat oil in pan to Shallow fry the patties. Once the oil is little hot put the patty in oil and Shallow fry it on medium flat it it gets golden..

  10. Serve the delicious Russian patties/Kabab with a green chutney or mayo..
