You need of For yakhni potli.

It’s 2 tbsp of dhaniya( Coriander) seeds.

Prepare 2 tbsp of saunf/fennel seeds.

You need 1 tbsp of zeera/cumin seeds.

It’s of For yakhni.

You need 2 of cinnamon stick.

It’s 1 kg of keema.

It’s 500 gm of peas.

It’s 6 of green elaichi(cardamom).

A classic North Indian non veg recipe using mincemeat (lamb) and fresh green peas, Keema Matar, is a popular dish in our home and among friends.
It is a much requested dish for pot lucks.
Mincemeat (lamb) works best though you could use chicken or beef in its place.
Keema matar Pulao instructions

Make potli with ingredients..

Add all yakhni ingredients in a pot and cook for 20 mins..

In a pot add ghee,zeera, sliced onion,green chilli and saute. Add the yakhni wala keema, peas and cook for 5 mins.

Now remove yakhni water from pot and semi cook rice in that water along with keema..

Now in that rice add some water if needed..

Let cook for 10 mins and keep on incubation for 5 mins on low flame..

Serve with salad.
I always make the curry with lamb aka keema.
The Keema Matar is done when the peas are cooked and the gravy has thickened a little.
You may garnish the curry with coriander leaves or leave it plain.
Serve the keema matar with plain basmati or how about some Jeera rice?
