Ingredients of Hyderabadi Kheema Matar

  1. Prepare 400 gms of Mutton mince.

  2. Prepare 2 cups of Fresh Green peas.

  3. It’s 1 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.

  4. It’s 3 of Green Chillies finely chopped.

  5. You need 3 tbsp of Oil.

  6. You need 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.

  7. You need 1 tsp of Cumin powder.

  8. You need 1 tsp of Coriander powder.

  9. Prepare 1 tsp of Salt.

  10. Prepare 2 of Onions thinly sliced.

  11. You need 1/4 cup of Coriander leaves finely chopped.

  12. You need 1 tbsp of Sun dried Fenugreek Leaves.

Mincemeat (lamb) works best though you could use chicken or beef in its place.

Hyderabadi Kheema Matar step by step

  1. Heat Oil in a pan. Add Ginger garlic paste and sliced Onions. Fry it on a low heat. Keep stirring and let it cook until the raw smell of the onions fade away. Add chopped Green chillies now. Also add all the powdered spices along with the Mutton mince. Cook all of it on a medium high heat now. The mince will release some water. So take care and cook on a medium high heat for 5 minutes. The water will dry up. Lower the heat and cook with a lid on..

  2. After the Oil is seen leaving the sides. Add Fresh Green peas and sun-dried Fenugreek Leaves at home. Or else you can use Kasuri methi. Cover and simmer for nearly 10-15 minutes or until done. It gets done in no time at all. Adjust salt according to taste and garnish with freshly chopped Coriander leaves. Serve it with Hyderabadi Baghara Khaana or Hyderabadi Khichdi.
