Lauki Bharta. Lauki Bharta is a nice twist to the usually not so liked bottle gourd. Lauki (Bottle gourd) has good amount of water content in it and is healthy vegetable which should be consumed regularly. This Lauki Bharta is easy to prepare and takes very less time.

Lauki bharta is a delicious and easy to make recipe which is quite different then the regular lauki ki sabazi.

It helps in digestion, gastric trouble, good.

In Lauki Bharta, Lauki is not roasted like Baingan, instead it is peeled, grated and cooked along with finely chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and everyday spices such as Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and cumin powder.

Now take a pan and add oil and Cumin seeds, when it starts crackling add onions and tomatoes and shallow fry them until it gets soft, add spices and garlic paste to it and lastly add the lauki mixture to it and cook well and mash in between like how we do during preparing Pav bhaji… Within 5-7 mins you will see oil releases from the bharta and turn off them and garnish coriander leaves and 4-5 drops of lemon.Ready to eat yummy Lauki Bharta.

The bottle gourd is cooked with spices and veggies like onion and tomato to make this yummy sabzi.
