Malai Paneer. Malai Paneer, as the name suggests, it's a paneer curry prepared in a fresh milk cream based rich and spicy gravy where almond and cashew nut paste brings in rich texture while dried fenugreek leaves bring a subtle but definite flavor. Sometimes, the paneer comes in a packaged version where it is pre-cut into small cubes. Similarly to tofu, there are also versions where you'll have to do the cutting yourself.

Ingredients of Malai Paneer

  1. Prepare of paneer.

  2. You need of big onion.

  3. It’s of large tomatoes.

  4. You need of cashew.

  5. You need of poppy seeds.

  6. It’s of garlic.

  7. You need of small piece ginger.

  8. Prepare of green chillies.

  9. It’s of cumin seeds.

  10. You need of green cardamom.

  11. You need of black peppercorns.

  12. You need of cloves.

  13. It’s of red chilli powder.

  14. You need of Kashmiri red chilli powder.

  15. Prepare of turmeric powder.

  16. You need of coriander powder.

  17. You need of kitchen King masala.

  18. It’s of sugar.

  19. It’s of Salt.

  20. It’s of tomato sauce.

  21. Prepare of oil.

  22. Prepare of butter.

  23. You need of milk cream.

  24. It’s of kasuri methi.

This Malai paneer is a perfect gravy for potlucks, parties and family nights.

Paneer or cottage cheese, is cooked in creamy.

This is a delicious curry to make and taste yummy with chapati or poori or bhaturas.

Malai Paneer step by step

  1. Cut paneer in square cubes and keep aside, slice onion, tomatoes and keep aside.

  2. In a kadai heat 1 tablespoon oil add cumin seeds, cardamom, black pepper, cloves, green chillies.

  3. Once the aroma comes add sliced onions and fry till they are nicely cooked now add chopped ginger and garlic and fry till raw smell goes.

  4. Add cashews and poppy seeds and fry now add chopped tomatoes and some salt..

  5. Cover and cook till tomatoes are mushy switch off the flame..

  6. Allow the mixture to cool down, now blend the mixture adding little water.

  7. Once its blended nicely keep aside..

  8. In a kadai add 1 tablespoon oil and butter, add kashmiri red chilli powder, lower the flame and add the blended mixture..

  9. Mix nicely, allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes, now add all the dry masalas, and mix properly.

  10. Allow to cook for some more time till oil separates from sides add tomato sauce and sugar..

  11. Add half the cream and mix nicely..

  12. Now add water depending on the consistency you prefer, once its slightly boil add paneer cubes, keep 2-3 cubes aside.

  13. Cover and cook for 5 minutes..

  14. Once done crush and add kasuri methi, grate the remaining paneer pieces and mix, now add remaining cream and garnish with coriander leaves..

  15. Serve it with butter naan, chapati or any bread of your choice..

Its been a while since i shared any paneer recipes, so i decided to make this curry and share it with you all.

Once the milk come to a boil, turn of the flame and wait for a minute to let the excess heat escape.
