Pulilakari (poricha kuzhambu). I learnt this recipe from my grandma. In this kuzhambu we are not going to add tamarind and tomato. Tasty carrot adai is ready to serve with coconut chutney. kids who hate carrot will love this carrot adai.

You can cook Pulilakari (poricha kuzhambu) using 6 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Pulilakari (poricha kuzhambu)

  1. Prepare 55 g of Moong dal.

  2. You need 1 Cup of Drumstick leaves -.

  3. It’s 3 of brinjal - (cut into cubes).

  4. You need 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder.

  5. Prepare as per taste of salt.

  6. You need 4 tbsp of shredded coconut - (grind to a smooth paste).

Pulilakari (poricha kuzhambu) step by step

  1. For grinding: 5- 6 red chillies, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp pepper, shallots - 4 and 4 garlic pods..

  2. Wash moong dal and boil till it gets mashy..

  3. Clean and wash drumstick leaves..

  4. Heat kadai add drumstick leaves and cubed brinjal. Boil it. If we want we can add drumstick pieces while boiling..

  5. After brinjal gets done, add turmeric powder, salt and leave it to boil for a minute..

  6. Add boiled dal and that red chilli paste. Leave it to boil..

  7. At last add coconut paste. cook for a minute and switch off the flame..

  8. Heat another kadai. Add 2Tsp ghee. To that add mustard and cumin. Fry it. Add this to that kuzhambu..

  9. Now our pullilakari is ready to serve with hot rice, ghee and vathal or vadam..
