Chatpati bhindi/okra. A spicy and tangy Okra/Bhindi stir fry recipe which you must try! If you dont like Okra this recipe will surely make you love it! Okra or Bhindi is a vegetable made in almost all parts of India.

Masala bhindi is normally a spicy preparation , wherein the okra is slit horizontally and the mix of spices are filled in.

In same wok/ oil, add crushed ginger garlic, dry red chili, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pickle, onion and fry until onion becomes soft.

One of my favorite vegetables, okra or lady finger, deep fried and tossed in a mix of hot and sour spice mix.

You can cook Chatpati bhindi/okra using 12 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Chatpati bhindi/okra

  1. Prepare 250 gm of bhindi/okra.

  2. You need of Salt as per taste.

  3. It’s 1 tbspn of mustard oil.

  4. You need 1 of tspn cumin seeds.

  5. You need 3-4 of green chillies chopped length wise.

  6. It’s 1 pinch of asefetida.

  7. You need 1 of tspn chat masala.

  8. Prepare 1 of tspn garam masala.

  9. It’s 1 of tspn red chilli powder.

  10. Prepare 1 of tspn corriander powder.

  11. You need 1/2 of tspn turmeric powder.

  12. You need 1 of tspn lemon juice.

Chatpati bhindi or Fried Okra is a tasty snack, can also be used as an accompaniment with the main meal.

Bhindi or okra or Lady Finger is one favorite veggie of both my hubby and my kiddo.

This is one of the very few vegetables which is loved by both.

Chatpati bhindi/okra instructions

  1. Wash and nicely dry the bhindi/okra.. Remove its head n tail and chopped length wise…

  2. Heat oil in a pan add Cumin seeds and asefetida when cumin seeds crackles add chopped bhindi/okra and green chillies saute it for 2 minutes.. Now add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix well.. Cover it n cook it for 5-7 minutes…

  3. When its done add lemon juice and garam masala mix them.. Switch off the flame and let it cover for 3-4 minutes.. Now add chat masala.. Chatpati bhindi are ready to serve.. Enjoy it with chappatis…

This recipe of Chatpati Bhindi is very easy and quick to make.

Like all other dry veggies, this can be served with roti or paratha or poori.

This blazing summer all that the heart and stomach desire, is a liquidy dal with boiled rice and some simple yet tasty dry vegetable curry.

Add in some green cucumber slices or a couple of papads and you get the perfect light summer meal.
