Stuffed Karela instructions

  1. Take all the karelas. If you can find small ones it’s better, I have big karelas that’s is why I have cut them in half.

  2. Peel the skin off and make a cut in the middle and keep aside.

  3. Take a pan and add besan and in low medium heat dry roast until the aroma comes out.

  4. Take it out into a bowl and let it cool down.

  5. Add all the dry masala and jaggery as well as oil.

  6. Mix well. Your stuffing is now ready.

  7. Take the karela and fill it with the stuffing.

  8. Place a pan onto the gas and add water, place a plate on top and let it boil..

  9. Place the stuffed karela on top and close the lid.

  10. Steam until properly cooked.

  11. Once it’s cooked let it cool down for a bit.

  12. Once cool take a pan add oil and let it heat up.

  13. Add mustard cumin seeds once crackling add the karela and in low medium heat roast well until nice.
