Proper Malted Milk Biscuits. Proper Malted Milk Biscuits Made some from Internet last week came out like ginger snaps so I found this on Internet. Malted Milk Biscuits - but not as you know them. These treats have classic malt biscuit flavours combined with the stability & snap of sugar cookies.

Ingredients of Proper Malted Milk Biscuits

  1. It’s 125 grams of butter.

  2. Prepare 88 grams of caster sugar.

  3. You need 1 of egg.

  4. It’s 45 grams of malt extract.

  5. It’s 370 grams of self raising flour.

  6. You need 3/4 tsp of salt (I forgot but came out great).

Stir in remaining flour and malted milk powder with wooden spoon.

Stir in chopped malted milk balls.

  1. Cream the butter and sugar.

  2. Beat in the egg.

  3. Add malt and beat together.

  4. Add the flour & salt if using and mix into a ball I changed to a spoon half way as mixture was going every where lol..

  5. Put dough in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. I left mine for 60. This makes the dough easier to roll out..

  6. 10 minutes before you roll out the dough Pre heat oven to 150° & line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.

  7. Roll out the dough to the thickness of a £1 coin and cut out in rectangular shapes or squares,.

  8. Place on the tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until edges go lightly brown. Mine took 18 minutes.

  9. Leave to cool a while on the tray before transferring to a cooling rack.

  10. Enjoy with a glass of milk or favourite brew..

I like to use my ice cream / meatball scoop to shape the cookies; they turn out very round and even this way.
