You can cook Beetroot Upma using 14 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Beetroot Upma

  1. It’s 1 cup of White rava.

  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of Beetroot juice - [grate, grind to fine paste and extract.

  3. You need 1 of Onion [finely chopped].

  4. You need 2 tbsp of green peas.

  5. Prepare 2 tbsp of sweet corn.

  6. Prepare 2 tbsp of capsicum (finely chopped).

  7. You need 1 of Green chilli.

  8. Prepare 1 spring of Curry leaves.

  9. You need 2 tbsp of Coriander leaves [chopped] -.

  10. You need 1 tbsp of Mustard seeds.

  11. Prepare 1 tbsp of Bengal gram.

  12. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of Urad dal.

  13. It’s 2 tbsp of Oil.

  14. You need To taste of Salt.

It will give different flavor for beetroot upma; Tip.

Beetroot Upma instructions

  1. Dry roast rava Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered add chopped onion, carrot, peas, sweet corn and capsicum sauté till light brown colour then add green chilli and curry leaves and sauté gently..

  2. Add beetroot juice and salt. When boils add roasted rava slowly and stir simultaneously so that there will be no lumps. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes cut off heat.

  3. Add lemon juice. Then cover it for 5 minutes. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves serve hot with coconut chutney.

Rava Upma with a healthy twist- Beetroot & Sprout Upma.

Add the roasted beetroot (blended) and stir well to mix evenly.

Upma will be thick now and the right consistency.
