Milk - Use full-fat milk to make this halwa.

Ingredients of Beetroot halwa

Prepare 1 1/2 kg of Beetroot.

Prepare 1 cup of Milk.

It’s 1 teaspoon of Cardamom powder.

It’s 1-2 tablespoons of Desiccated coconut powder.

Prepare as per taste of Sugar.

It’s as required of Cashews for garnishing.

It’s 4-5 tablespoons of Pure Ghee.
It will give it a nice and creamy texture, that skim milk or low-fat milk won't give.
Khoya - I like to add Khoya in my Halwa, but it is completely optional.
You can make the Halwa only with Milk too.

Tip of the day: Ripe beetroots are prefect so if brought @ home 3-4 days before to store it’s well & good or you can prepare instantly.

Firstly wash & Grate beetroots then take a non-stick wok add in the grated beetroots stirr for 4-5 minutes till the raw smell is blown over.

Then add a cup of milk stirr well then cover it for 5 minutes so the beetroots will be softer then open the lid while the milk is also almost absorbed then add ghee & desiccated coconut powder, cardamom powder fry till 5 more minutes.

Then add sugar & let It cook till it’s ghee separates & sugar is dissolved well while it’s all gathered in a wok the halwa is ready.

Then garnish it with cashews & some sprinkle of coconut powder it’s served warm or cold either enjoy it with your loved once on this festive occasion.. !.
