Ingredients of Green moong dal pakoda

Prepare 1 cup of - Green moong dal(split green gram).

It’s 1 of -onion finally chopped.

Prepare 2 of -Green chilled coarsely paste.

It’s 1/2 of tsp- tumeric powder.

Prepare 1/2 of tsp- Red chili powder.

Prepare 1/4 tsp of -ajwain.

It’s Pinch of asafoetida.

It’s 2 of tbsp-Coriander leaves finally chopped.

It’s to taste of Salt.

Prepare As needed of oil for frying.
Optional - Whole Roasted Peanuts or Cashews Pre-Procedure:- Grind Moong, green chilies, onion, coriander, garlic, and salt in a mixer.

Take a big bowl soak moong dal and 3cup water keep a side for 3-4 hour..

Drain and keep it side..

Then Add water blender jar and blender dal until grind the coarsely moong dal paste and add all species and mix well..

Heat a oil in a pan.make a small bite size of the moong dal mixture drop it in a hot oil..

Fry in a medium heat until the golden brown colour all sides and crisp remove them..

Serve hot with Tomato sauce..
For further tastes, chopped curry leaves or coriander leaves or spinach or shredded carrot can be included to the mixture.
Moong Dal Vada recipe here is made with green moong dal or green gram which is a whole green gram and not the split one.
It has been soaked for hours before making the actual vada.
