Gulab Jamun Ki Sabzi. Gulab Jamun ki Sabji is a dish from Rajasthan. You won't find it in many restaurants, but it is still made in homes. On our recent trip to Jodhpur, we tried this sabji at one of the restaurants near the bus station and relived the taste of childhood.

Cooking this sabzi in ghee elevates the taste making it richer in both taste and texture.

Drain the water from the gulab jamuns.

Add the drained water to the masala and bring to a boil and further cook on medium heat for ten to fifteen minutes.

You can cook Gulab Jamun Ki Sabzi using 22 ingredients and 15 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Gulab Jamun Ki Sabzi

  1. It’s 100 gram of khoya.

  2. It’s 50 gram of paneer.

  3. Prepare 1-2 tbsp of Refined flour.

  4. Prepare 2 of onion.

  5. It’s 3 of tomato.

  6. You need 2 tbs of kaju paste(optional).

  7. Prepare 1 inch of ginger.

  8. It’s 8-10 of garlic cloves.

  9. Prepare 1 tbs of red chilli Powder.

  10. You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric Powder.

  11. You need 1.2 tsp of garam masala.

  12. Prepare 1/2 tsp of cummin Powder.

  13. It’s 1/2 tsp of cummin.

  14. You need leaf of Bay.

  15. It’s 2 of cardamom.

  16. You need 2-3 of cloves.

  17. You need 1/4 tsp of shahi jeera.

  18. You need 1 of green chilli.

  19. Prepare As needed of Coriander leaves.

  20. It’s to taste of Salt.

  21. It’s 1-2 tbsp of ghee.

  22. It’s As needed of Oil for frying gulab jamoons.

Add garam masala powder, kasoori methi and mix.

Gulab Jamun Ki Sabzi is a popular spicy curry from Jodhpur in Rajasthan (India).

It is best enjoyed with any Indian flat bread or even hot, steamed rice!

The word "gulab jamun" conjures up an image of a large bowl of juicy, sweet and heavenly golden brown balls of deep fried milk solids in a wonderful cardamom/rose infused sugar syrup!

Gulab Jamun Ki Sabzi step by step

  1. In a mixie jar add khoya,paneer and Maida and mix till it forms a dough..

  2. Make puree of onion ginger and garlic.

  3. Make puree of tomato also..

  4. Heat oil in a kadai.

  5. Take balls from khova mixture and make round balls with out any cracks..

  6. Fry on.medium heat till golden brown..

  7. In another kadai put 2 TBS ghee and little oil crackle cardamom cloves cummin, shahi jeera, bay leaf then add onion puree.

  8. Cook for 3-4 mins..

  9. Then add tomato puree, all dry masala, salt and cook..

  10. Add kaju paste and cook till it leaves oil in the corner..

  11. Now add gulab jamuns to the gravy and cook for 1 minute..

  12. Finally add chopped coriander and off the flame.

  13. Serve with ghee rice,or with naan..

The gulab jamun ki sabzi is a traditional Jodhpuri dish made using gulab jamuns.

But instead of dipping the fried dough balls in sugar syrup, they are added to a tomato-based gravy.

According to celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, gulab jamun ki sabzi is said to be invented by the Rajputs.

Gulab jamun ki sabzi prepared using essentially paneer, khoa, flour and cashew nut.

Mix together potatoes, cottage cheese and gulab jamun mix in a bowl.
