Recipe: Tasty Kathirikai puli thokku(Brinjal thokku) Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Kathirikai puli thokku(Brinjal thokku). Once they splutter, add redchillies, green chillies and chopped brinjals. Kathirikkai Thokku is a spicy and tangy paste made using Kathirikkai (brinjal) and spices. It can be mixed with hot steaming rice or use as an accompaniment for Roti / Idli/ Dosa.

You can have Kathirikai puli thokku(Brinjal thokku) using 16 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Kathirikai puli thokku(Brinjal thokku)

  1. It’s of Brinjal chopped.

  2. It’s of shallots.

  3. You need of tomatoes.

  4. You need of green chilli.

  5. You need of dry red chillies.

  6. You need of curry leaves.

  7. You need of Cumin seeds.

  8. It’s of Fenugreek seeds.

  9. It’s of Urad dal.

  10. You need of Oil.

  11. Prepare of Salt.

  12. Prepare of Tamarind pulp ,lemon size.

  13. You need of Turmeric powder.

  14. It’s of Coriander powder.

  15. Prepare of Chilli powder.

  16. Prepare of Coriander leaves, optional.

This is one of our favourite.

I make it atleast once a week and it is a family favourite.

Kathirikai puli thokku(Brinjal thokku) step by step

  1. Take a pan put oil add the cumin seeds, urad dal, Fenugreek seeds, dry red chillies, onion, tomato, green chilli, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, Cook it well then add the brinjal little bit water..

  2. Cook it well and finally add the tamarind pulp till cook well switch off the flame..

  3. For garnishing add the coriander leaves and ready to serve it.Its very tasty try it.

This kulambu with hot rice and papad is heaven.
