I got some Pre-Cooked green grams samples from Nairobean.
When it comes to serials,ndengu is always for me Wanjiku Lucia.

Wash the green grams thoroughly and boil till soft.

Heat pan and add chopped onions.Fry till brown..

Add capsicum,carrots,salt to taste and Dania and stir for 2 minutes.

Add the green grams.i dont cook green grams with tomatoes.

Add the coconut (tui).

Bring to boil while stirring.

Remove and cover.

Boil 1 liter of water.add salt to taste and cooking oil.

Once boil add the washed rice.

Let it simmer till no water.

Put to over in low heat.
