Chilli chicken step by step

  1. Make batter with 1 egg, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon cornflour,. 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon vinegar, pepper powder and salt.

  2. Coat the chicken pieces in the batter and deep fry them till golden brown.

  11. Add 1 teaspoon of vinegar only if its not sour.

  12. Dilute half a teaspoon of cornflour in water (add more if your gravy is too watery) and add it to the mixture..

  13. Stir frequently in high flame until the thick consistency is reached..

  14. Turn off the stove and add some ajinomoto or Chinese stir fry spice from top..

  15. Garnish with chopped spring onions..

  16. Serve hot with fried rice..
