Macher Pathora. It is generally prepared with shrimps, but I have used kalta maach. See recipes for Aar Macher rosha, Macher matha diye moog dal too.

You can cook Macher Pathora using 10 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Macher Pathora

  1. It’s 500 gms of fish.

  2. Prepare 2 of medium sized onion.

  3. It’s 6-7 of garlic cloves.

  4. It’s 4-5 of green chillies.

  5. You need 1 inch of Ginger.

  6. It’s 1 of lemon.

  7. It’s of as per taste Salt.

  8. Prepare of as required Mustard oil.

  9. It’s leaves of as required Coriander.

  10. Prepare 1-2 of Pototoes(this is optional).

Macher Pathora instructions

  1. If you are using shrimps then wash and make a course paste. If you are using fish like bhetki, katla or rohu. Then first boil it for 5 mins. Then remove the bones. Or you can use fish fillet.

  2. In a bowl take the boiled fish remove all the bones and skin. Smash it. Chop onions, green chiles, grat the ginger and garlic..

  3. In a bowl add everything along with boiled potatoes, salt and mustard oil. Mix then well. And make small patty shape..

  4. Now in a flat pan put mustard oil little and then put the party. Let it cook both the side by flipping it. It should be done in low flame so that it doesnt get burnt but cooked well..
