Ofe Oha. Oha Soup, popularly referred to as Ofe Oha by the Igbo people of Eastern Nigeria is an absolutely delicious traditional soup recipe. Oha soup isn't exactly a go-to kind of soup because the main ingredient, Oha leaves, is a seasonal one. It is one of those native Igbo soups that you taste and just can't forget.
This rich and nutritious soup is usually prepared with the leaves of the African Pterocarpus soyauxii / Pterocarpus mildbraedi tree, known traditionally as Oha leaves.

It’s 2 of medium sized bunch of oha leaves.

It’s 2 TSP of Achi powder.

You need 2 of kilo, beef.

You need 1 head of stockfish.

You need 4 of sizeable dry fish.

It’s 4 TSP of ground crayfish.

You need 1 TSP of ground pepper.

It’s to taste of Salt.

You need 1 pack of dry mushroom.

Prepare 1 of small ogiri.

It’s 1 cup of Palm oil.

It’s of Uziza leaf, optional.

Separate the oha leaf from the stalk and cut it into bits with your hand..

Wash and season beef. Put on the fire with stockfish, cook till soft.

Wash dry fish with salt and water, add to the boiling mix.

Add salt and seasoning cubes to taste. Add dry pepper and crayfish..

Soak dry mushroom with water for about 10 mins, add to the pot too..

Put in ogiri, adjust taste..

Mix Achi in Palm oil, pour into boiling mix. Watch it thicken..

Finally, add oha leaf, stir till completely incorporated, soup is done. NB: You can add uziza leaf if you want..
Preparation of this soup is similar to bitterleaf soup ( Ofe Onugbu ) with difference being the leaves used.
Oha/ora soup is delicious and has a distinct taste.
