  11. You need one of curry leaves - stick.

  12. Prepare of water as needed.

Poondu kulambhu step by step

  1. Heat a pan shallow fry the tomato and onion in it and make it into fine paste.

  2. Soak the tamarind in water.

  3. Heat another pan add oil, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, poondu and shallots in it..

  4. Fry it for 5 min. add the tomato and onion paste to it.

  5. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, sakthi kulambhu chilli powder and fry it foe 5-10  min.

  6. Add tamarind water and some plain water and salt to it.

  7. Boil it for 5 - 10 min. garnish it with coriander leaves.

  8. Serve it with papad and white rice..

Hi i tried ur poondu kuzhambu recipe today it was so gud.but i felt it was lil watery so i added thr ground paste of coconut grated along wid a tsp of aachi kuzhambu masala to adjust d taste.it was much better then.thanks so much fr d recipe.annnddd ur brinjal kuzhambu recipe is awwwwsum.it was yummy.i tried it.my husband & my sis-in-law too loved it…thnx a lot fr dat recipe 🙂 Poondu Kuzhambu, a spicy and tasty kuzhambu which is very good with hot steaming rice with a spoon of Sesame oil.
