Mawa Sattu Peda. A very easy and quick recipe. Specially for kids it is very healthy. The tiny, fudgy sweetmeat has been an intrinsic part of Mathura's culinary heritage since time immemorial.
This is purely a milk sweet since we are using paneer, milkmaid and ghee.
You can adjust the sweetness by using the appropriate amount of milkmaid.
The same peda can be made with milk powder or plain khoya/ mawa.

Ingredients of Mawa Sattu Peda

It’s 1 cup of mawa.

Prepare 1 cup of roasted chana sattu.

It’s 1/2 tsp of cardamon powder.

It’s 2-3 tbsp of milk.

It’s 8-10 of saffron strings.

You need 1/2 cup of sugar powdered.

Prepare as needed of Few drops of Rose/kewda ess.

Prepare as needed of Pista for garnishing.
This is one of the easiest sweet you could ever make.
I have shared few versions of peda recipe before, but my all time favourite is this milk peda made using real milk.

First grind roasted chana to make fine powder..

Soak saffron in 2tbsp milk,Keep aside..

Mix sugar powder and mawa in microwave safe bowl.And cook for 1 min So it will get soft..

Now in a bowl add roasted chana sattu, mawa + sugar mixture, cardamom powder, saffron soaked milk, rose / kewra essence.Mix everything properly and knead till it becomes soft and smooth.(.I grinded this mixture in mixer jar to make it smooth.).

Now make equal sized peda from this mixture and garnish with pista..

Kesaria peda is a sweet made for festivals and celebrations.
Though the recipe sounds easy, it was bit hard to get the correct consistency.
I refrigerated the mixture and shaped it into pedas.
It was very delicious and Sruti loved it a lot.
When fresh the peda is some what elastic.
