Add Curd(beat yogurt well with a whisk until smooth), Ginger paste, Garlic paste, Green Chilli paste, Turmeric Powder, Kashmiri red Chilli powder, Jeera powder, Garam masala powder, Salt and Oil with the Chicken. Cover it for 2 hours..

Take a Kadhai(Pan) and heat Oil. Temper with dried red chillies, Bay leaf, Cardamom, Cinnamon, cloves. Then add the thinly sliced onion. Stir and fry the Onion for 6-8 mins. When it turns golden brown in colour add Tomato Sauce and stir continuously..

Add marinated Chicken in it and stir for 4 mins in medium flame. When bubbles come out then cover the kadhai with a lid and cook it in low flame for 20 mins. (stir occasionally) [I didnt put water here, if your gravy becomes dry out then you may add hot water in this step] Continue cooking until chicken is done and oil separates..
