Ingredients of Couscous upma

  1. It’s 1 cup of couscous.

  2. Prepare 1 of small onion finely chopped.

  3. Prepare 1 of small tomato finely chopped.

  4. You need 1/2 cup of frozen peas.

  5. You need 1 of dry red chilli.

  6. It’s 1 tsp of mustard seeds.

  7. It’s 3-4 of curry leaves.

  8. Prepare 1 tsp of roasted cumin powder.

  9. It’s 1 tsp of garam masala powder.

  10. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.

  11. Prepare As per taste of Salt.

  12. Prepare 1/4 cup of coriander leaves finely chopped.

  13. It’s as required of Oil for cooking.

Couscous upma instructions

  1. First in a pot take about 2 cups water,add little salt and 1 tsp oil.When oil is getting hot,add couscous. Cook until couscous becomes soft. Turn off the gas and cover it. Keep this aside..

  2. In a pan take 2 tsp oil,add mustard seeds,curry leaves and dry red chilli.now add chopped onion,saute it for 2-3 minutes. Now add peas and tomatoes.Cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add roasted cumin powder,garam masala powder and salt. Mix all ingredients well.Now add cooked couscous.Add lemon juice. Mix all ingredients well. Turn off teh gas.Garnish with coriander leaves. Couscous upma is ready.Serve hot..
