Prepare For of Burfi:.

You need 1 cup of Kaju/cashew.

It’s 1/2 half of cup Badam/Almond.

You need 3/4 cup of Sugar (can take less also as per your taste).

It’s For of Greasing Burfi:.

It’s 1/2 tsp of ghee.
But Kaju Katli steals the heart anyway, so you might as well make both….
Badam burfi is an easy and delectable burfi like coconut burfi.
Traditionally many of us make coconut burfi for diwali and many occasions.

First soak the cut cashews from center to check they are clean..

Now wash cashews and almond nicely and soak them for 5 hours..

Drain the water, and peel almond..

Now mix almond and cashews and add sugar to it. Mix well and keep for 2 hours. Sugar will melt..

In mixer grinder add cashews, almond and with mixed sugar. Grind to get fine paste..

Now take non-stick pan and pour this paste. Stir on low flame for 9-10 minutes. Paste will become non sticky. To check this just touch paste it should not stick on finger. (Careful paste will be very hot).

Transfer this paste to plate and stir for 2 min. Now with hands make ball (still paste is hot so be careful). Grease the surface and roll like chapati. Keep thickness as kaju katli..

To me burfi is hard but I can say this is soft burfi…won't hurt right?! 😉 When I posted Kaju Katli recipe, I had few of my friends asking to post easy sweet recipes that doesn't call for sugar syrup consistencies which will be easy for beginners.
