Kesar Badam milk. A few years back, I saw a packet of Kesar Badam Milk powder being sold in a superstore, which was a quick way to enjoy the deliciousness. Just mix a few teaspoon full into a glass of milk and you are good to go. Indian Kesar Badam Milk or Badam doodh.

Note: The longer the saffron soaks, you will get a light yellowish color.

You need 500 ml of Full fat milk.

Soak the almonds in 1/2 cup of hot water for at least 30 minutes..

Peel the almonds and make a smooth paste out of this. Keep it aside..

In a pan put 1/2 litres of milk and put on high flame till it starts to boil, then reduce the flame to medium and boil milk for another five minutes..

Now add the almond paste in milk and cook for some more time. Stir in between to prevent sticking of the milk..

After 5 to 6 minutes add sugar to boiling milk, mix it well and cook for some more time till milk becomes a little thick..

Now add few strands of saffron and cardamom powder in the milk stir it well, turn off the stove and your kesar badam milk is ready..

Serve hot or let it cool in room temperature then put in refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours and serve chill, topped with chopped almonds and kesar..
