I have had badam halwa from krishna sweets in chennai.

Badam Halwa step by step

  1. Drain the water of almonds completely which were soaked overnight.

  2. Remove the skin of Almonds.

  3. Grind these almonds add 3 tsp milk if required for grinding and grind into coarse paste.

  4. Heat up ghee in a nonstick pan add the paste and roast until the colour changes.

  5. Add 2 cups of milk and keep on stirring continuously.

  6. Cover the lid and allow it to cook on low flame and keep on stirring in between occasionally.

  7. When milk is reduced down add the sugar and stir for another 5 to 6 minutes.

  8. Badam halwa is ready decorate with cashews serve hot and enjoy.

First bite and their halwa was too sweet for my taste buds, but I wanted to get the same texture as their halwa.

Badam Halwa will thicken when it cools.

Remove the pan to the kitchen counter and start mixing the Badam Halwa with a spatula.
