How to Vegan at dinner Khopra Pak Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Khopra Pak. Although very delicately-flavoured, this coconut sweet gets a rich feel thanks to the tinges of saffron and cardamom that are added. I would suggest the use of traditional coconut grater in order to attain the perfect texture of this sweet. Another key ingredient is the mava, which helps to bind the kopra pak well.

It is usually made by cooking coconut in sugar and milk to create a rich fudge-like texture.

Khopra (aka coconut) pak is a delicious little sweet square made with rich khoya (milk solids) and freshly grated coconut.

If you love coconut desserts, you cannot give this Indian sweet a miss.

You can have Khopra Pak using 4 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Khopra Pak

  1. You need of freshly grated coconut.

  2. You need of sugar.

  3. You need of ghee.

  4. You need of cardamoms powder.

It's my husband's favourite Indian sweet and my mom-in-law makes it everytime we are visiting home.

Kopra pak recipe - This Gujarati style of making coconut burfi.

This sweet or mithai is made from freshly grated coconut, sugar, milk, and mawa.

Dump all in the pan and cook till it gets thick and lumpy.

Khopra Pak step by step

  1. To make grated coconut.. scrap brown hard skin from coconut pieces and grate white part in mixer grinder. Or with coconut scraper taking care to scrap only white portion of coconut..

  2. In kadhai add ghee,grated coconut sugar, mix well..

  3. Cook on medium flame stirring constantly until sugar melts and mixture thickens. Add cardamom powder and mix well. (If mixture is dry add 3-4 tbsp milk.).

  4. Transfer on butterpaper place on square shape tray. Cool little. Cut into required size pieces..

  5. Store in airtight container. Serve/ Relish Delicious Khopra Pak..

Then set in the pan to cool.

Then cut into pieces and eat.

This cannot be simpler than this.
