  2. In large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, broth, butter and 1/4 cup of milk. Knead dough for 2 or 3 minutes (if still crumbly and not holding together, add a little more milk).

  3. Flour counter and rolling pin.

  4. Roll dough out to 1/4" thickness and stamp out with cookie cutter.

  5. Arrange on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  6. Beat egg and 1 tablespoon of milk; brush on top of biscuits.

  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
