Aloo Qeema. Here's a recipe for an authentic, homestyle, just-like-your-grandma's (if your grandma happens to be Pakistani) Aloo Keema. This is a traditional, one-pot recipe that's simple, easy-to make, and gives the most flavorful results! Aloo Keema is a popular Pakistani & North Indian dish consisting of curried, minced meat (keema) and potatoes (aloo).

Tips to really elevate your Aloo Keema.

Not plain keema or matar keema or piyaaz keema.

What I love love is aloo keema.

You can have Aloo Qeema using 10 ingredients and 17 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Aloo Qeema

  1. You need 1 kg of Beef Mince (hand).

  2. It’s 1/2 kg of ALOO.

  3. It’s 4 slices of onions.

  4. It’s 1 tbsp of ginger paste (Chop).

  5. You need 1 tbsp of garlic paste (chop).

  6. It’s 1 cup of Oil.

  7. It’s 1 Packet of Shan Qeema masala.

  8. It’s 3 of Green Chilli.

  9. You need of Coriandar leaves for garinsh.

  10. It’s 1/2 tsp of all spice powder.

I know this entire recipe can be made with matar (aka peas) but it just won't be the same till there's at least one potato in it!

Keema aloo is a happy coming together of mutton or lamb mince, cubed potatoes and of course onions and tomatoes.

Made in the instant pot or stovetop, it is a one-pot dish that's easy to make.

Variation in keema stuffing for potato ball.

Aloo Qeema step by step

  1. Heat the oil.

  2. Add slices onions fry until translucent not golden.

  3. Add ginger and garlic chop or Paste fry few minutes.

  4. Add shan Qeema MASALA mix it.

  5. Add Beef qeema.

  6. Add slice tomatoes mix it.

  7. Then add 2 to 3 glass of water on medium to low flame.

  8. Covere and cook until mince is tender.

  9. Remove the lid and stir continuesly until oil spreads around the edges.

  10. Add chopped green Chilli mix.

  11. Add potatoes (optional).

  12. Add all spice powder.

  13. Then add water if you use potatoes to cook otherwise no need for water.

  14. Covered until potatoes are cooked.

  15. Potatoes are soft and oil is spread around the edges.

  16. Add coriandar leaves.

  17. Ready to eat serve with nan.

This is most authentic filling for aloo keema Patties and I love the original taste.
