Roasted Pepper Cream Sauce. A light and creamy sauce with puree of roasted red peppers as the base. It is excellent on any type of pasta, but tortellini or ravioli seems to be the best match. The prep time is rather long, but the result is definitely worth it.
Taste the sauce and add salt if needed (I did not add any as the liquid from the jar gave my sauce enough salt).

Heat cream to a boil in a seperate sauce pan. Reduce to a simmer..

Heat 1 T of vegetable oil in a small saute pan..

Sweat jalapeños and onions until soft..

Add garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute..

Transfer to a food processor or blender with roasted bell pepper and cilantro, and blend until smooth..

Whisk puree into cream sauce..

Simmer 5 minutes..

This sauce uses simple ingredients but when combined they go boom!
We first used this sauce in our Skillet Chicken in Roasted Red Pepper Sauce and thought hey, this easy sauce can do a lot more than chicken!.
We used store bought in a jar, Roasted Red Peppers but you can roast your own as well.
I had low expectations for this I tried several times at making a different red pepper cream sauce from this site and was not a fan.
