Veg Rice Sevai !!. Recipe for Vegetable rice sevai using Instant sevai. Perfect for lunch box or dinner. Recipe with step by step pictures.

Vegetable Rice Sevai is an easy Indian food recipe that makes for a light, filling and quick fix breakfast meal.

Prepared with instant rice sevai and mixed vegetables.

Ingredients of Veg Rice Sevai !!

  1. You need 2 packets of readymade Rice sevai.

  2. It’s 1 of onion finely chopped.

  3. Prepare 1 of tomato finely chopped.

  4. Prepare 3-4 of green chillies, chopped.

  5. Prepare 1 inch of piece ginger finely chopped.

  6. Prepare 1 sprig of curry leaves.

  7. You need 4 of carrots ,grated.

  8. Prepare 1/2 cup of green peas.

  9. Prepare 1/2 tspn of turmeric powder.

  10. You need 4 tbsp of red chilli powder.

  11. Prepare 1 tbsp of mustard seeds.

  12. Prepare 1 tbsp of split urad dal.

  13. Prepare As required of Coriander leaves for garnish.

  14. It’s to taste of Salt.

  15. Prepare 2 tbsp of coconut oil.

Keep water to boil.when it starts boiling put little salt in it.

Add the required rice sevai quantity in it.

Cook according to the instructions given on the packet.

The vegetable sevai I have made here was inspired by the vegetable rice my mother used to make for lunch during my school days.

Veg Rice Sevai !! step by step

  1. Keep the ingredients ready..

  2. Wash and chop the onion, tomato, ginger and green chillies. Grate the carrots and microwave the green peas for 2 minutes..

  3. Then heat a Kadhai and put oil in it. Then add the mustard seeds and split urad dal..

  4. After it splutters, add the chopped onion, curry leaves, green chillies and ginger..

  5. Sauté well for a few minutes, then add turmeric powder. Mix well..

  6. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for a few minutes..

  7. Then add red chilli powder, salt and mix everything well. Add the grated carrots and boiled green peas and cook for 3 to 4 minutes..

  8. Then add in the rice sevai. Carefully mix everything well so that the rice sevai gets coated well with the spices and vegetables..

  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot..

I have replaced rice with sevai.
