Kaleji Masala with Naan. Kaleji Masala or Mutton Liver Masala is a dry preparation that can be enjoyed as an appetizer, with rotis or kerala parotta and even plain white rice.. Serve hot with Naan or Phulke. You can also add a paste made using coriander, mint, ginger and green chilli in this recipe.

In this recipe, I am just using basic ingredients. with some garam masala.

Ingredients of Kaleji Masala with Naan

  1. You need of Kaleji (liver) in medium cubes.

  2. You need of Onion big.

  3. You need of Dahi (Yoghurt).

  4. It’s of Red Chilli Powder.

  5. Prepare of Coriander Powder (Dhania).

  6. It’s of Salt(to taste).

  7. You need of Termuric Powder (Haldi).

  8. You need of Ginger Paste(adrak paste).

  9. It’s of Garlic Paste(lehsun paste).

  10. Prepare of Oil.

  11. You need of Black Cardamom(bari Illaichi).

  12. Prepare of Green Cardamom(choti Illaichi).

  13. Prepare of Black pepper (kali mirch).

  14. Prepare of Cloves(long).

  15. It’s of DryQasoori Meethi (fenugreek leaves dry).

Then add garam masala, mutton masala (optional), and fresh chopped coriander and cook for some time.

Kaleji Masala with Naan instructions

  1. Cut onion in fine slices.heat oil in pot.add onion & fry to crisp golden brown.take out onion from oil..

  2. Onions should be crisp & golden. Crush onions by hand or use mortal & pastel to fine crumb paste(choora).dont use grinder or blender..

  3. Take lal mirch, dhania,salt, haldi in a bowl & soak in 1/2 cup water.ginger garlic paste can be added also. Wash kaleeji throughly and keep in strainer to drip off water..

  4. Add sabut garam masala in oil.fry a minute then add ginger garlic paste & fry for 2 min.add masala soak in water & fry till oil seprates..

  5. Add kaleji in masala, fry for 10 minutes on low-medium heat.add 3 cups water,cover, let it cook over low heat for 25-30 minutes.check in between, if needed add little more water.cook till kaleji is soft & tender. Add beaten dahi & fried onion in pot & fry kaleji on low-medium heat till dahi& onion all absorbs in masala & oil seprates..

  6. When all masala is mixed well & oil comes on surface, add qasori meethi leave on dum for 5 minutes then turn off heat.keep it covered.delicious kaleji masala is ready.serve hot with naan.enjoy with Cookpad..
