Ingredients of Vegetable Upma

  1. It’s 1 cup of sooji.

  2. You need 1 tbsp of ghee.

  3. It’s 1 tsp of mustard seeds.

  4. You need 6-8 of curry leaves.

  5. You need 2 of green chillies, finely chopped.

  6. Prepare 1 tbsp of chana dal.

  7. Prepare 1 tbsp of peanuts.

  8. You need 1 cup of finely chopped onions and carrot.

  9. It’s 1 cup of thin sliced bellpeppers.

  10. Prepare 4 cup of water.

  11. Prepare to taste of Salt.

  12. It’s 1/2 tsp of garam masala.

Vegetable Upma step by step

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and to it add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and chana dal.

  2. When it starts to temper add peanuts and roast well.

  3. Add chopped onions, peas and carrot.

  4. When onions turn pink. Add bellpeppers and saute for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Add sooji and salt and roast till sooji turns light golden brown.

  6. Add 4 cups warm water and keep mixing continuously to avoid lump formation.

  7. Serve hot the colourful healthy upma.
