Breakfast is by far one of my favorite meals to make - but only if it's a huge breakfast that fills you up for an entire day.

breakfast bread bowls step by step

  1. preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. gather all ingredients. whats fun about making these is that you can be as creative with your selection as you want. some choices can be: red and green peppers, cooked breakfast potatoes, plum tomatoes, carmelized onions, fresh spinach, crumbled sausage, bacon, etc. also, have fun with your cheese. feta, asiago..even goat cheese are all wonderful choices..

  3. cut a hole in the top of your roll and hollow out the inside. brush roll with your melted butter. cover the bottom with cheese and add your selected ingredients. crack egg on top to cover. sprinkle a pinch of cheese on top and garnish with parsley, poppy seeds and dill..

  4. place on cookie sheet and bake for ten minutes. take out of oven and cover loosely with foil. place back in oven for 20-25 minutes, or until egg is set. yummy..

That was my goal at least with these breakfast bread bowls, though I did make both 'big' and 'mini' options.

These breakfast bowls were a hit with my family and I definitely can't wait to make them again.
