  1. Firstly, in large bowl take 1 cup chana dal, soak it for 3-4 hours. Add 2 cups of water and soaked daal in pressure cooker and cook till 1 whistles and on low flame for 5minutes..

  2. Drain off the water and keep aside for 30 minutes or till water is drained off completely. transfer the cooked chana dal into a blender and grind to a fine powder without adding any water..

  3. Now transfer chana dal powder into large mixing bowl. Heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds, coarinder powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, green chilli chopped, salt, coarinder leaves.mix well making sure all the spices are combined well..

  4. Pinch a ball sized wheat dough and dust with some wheat flour. roll it in a circle of about 5 to 5.5 inches in diameter..

  5. On a hot tawa place the rolled paratha and cook for a minute.flip the paratha when the base is partly cooked..

  6. Finally, serve hot chana dal paratha with curd..

Chana Daal Paratha is crispy gram lentil filled chapatti.
