You can have Akkaravadisal l Jaggery Rice with Condensed Milk using 11 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Akkaravadisal l Jaggery Rice with Condensed Milk

  1. You need 1/2 cup (100 g) of Rice.

  2. You need 3 tbsp of Moongdal.

  3. You need 1 cup (225 g) of Grated Jaggery.

  4. Prepare 2 cup of Water.

  5. You need 1/2 cup of Milk.

  6. Prepare 1/3 cup (60 g) of Grated Khoa/Khoya.

  7. You need 1 tbsp of Cashew.

  8. Prepare 1 tbsp of Raisins.

  9. Prepare 1 pinch of Nutmeg.

  10. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Cardamom powder.

  11. You need 5 tbsp of Ghee.

Cook rice in milk in a pressure cooker until throughly mashed.

It might seem old-fashioned, but sweetened condensed milk recipes are the secret to creamy, sweet desserts.

Jaggery is a always a better alternative than refined sugar. its always best to use better alternatives to white sugar like jaggery, coconut sugar, palm jaggery, maple syrup, jaggery syrup, palm sugar, unrefined cane sugar, golden sugar, evaporated sugar cane juice or molasses or honey as a sweetener in the recipes.

I do not use refined sugar (white sugar) at home.

Akkaravadisal l Jaggery Rice with Condensed Milk instructions

  1. Pressure cook rice and moongdal with 2 cups of water for 4 to 5 whistles..

  2. Boil milk. Add grated khoa. Boil with stirring till khoa dissolves completely..

  3. Add grated Jaggery to cooked rice. Cook till jaggery dissolves completely. Now add in the condensed milk and 2 tbsp ghee. Cook with stirring for a couple of mins..

  4. Mix in 2 tbsp ghee, a pinch of grated nutmeg and cardamom powder..

  5. Heat 1 tbsp ghee. Roast the cashews and raisins. Mix with Akkaravadisal..

  6. Offer Akkaravadisal to Lord Sri Krishna and honor Krishna Prasadam.

Add the cooked mashed rice to a pan.

Add the powdered candy sugar to this.

Mix well and keep the flame low.

If you want to add some more milk or condensed milk add now.

Let this slowly starts boiling, keep in low flame only.
