  1. You need 1 cup of washed yellow Moong dal.

  2. Prepare 1 1/2 cup of Sugar.

  3. Prepare 3 cup of Water(you can use milk too).

  4. Prepare 1 cup of Pure desi ghee.

  5. Prepare 1/4 cup of Chopped cashew nuts.

  6. You need 1/2 tsp of Cardamom powder.

  7. You need 2 tsp of Almonds soaked and chopped.

  8. You need 2 tsp of Pistachio soaked and chopped.

  9. It’s 1/2 cup of Mawa.

Moong Dal HALWA instructions

  1. Wash and soak moong dal for 4hours.

  2. Strain it and grind in the mixer.

  3. Heat pure ghee in a wok and add ground dal to it.

  4. Roast dal on low flame till it changes its colour to brown and aroma comes.

  5. It will take around 45 minutes at low flame.

  6. On the other side mix sugar and water (milk)heat till sugar melts.

  7. Add this sugar syrup in to the roasted dal,,.

  8. Stir it slowly.

  9. Now add cardamom powder and half of the dry fruits to it..mix it well..

  10. Now add Mawa to it..

  11. Stir it till the consistency becomes thicken like Halwa.

  12. Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot..
