How to Fall Delicious Lemon Ginger Rasam Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Lemon Ginger Rasam. Inji elumichai rasam, is a simple south indian rasam with lemon, ginger and tomato as a major ingredient. This rasam did not include tamarind or sambar powder. So you can try this easy and simple South Indian lemon ginger rasam at home.

Peel Ginger, garlic, wash and make them ready.

Squeeze Lemon Juice from fresh lemon , keep aside.

Grind ginger,garlic, one chili, black pepper, cumin seeds, coriander powder and tomato to fine paste.

You can have Lemon Ginger Rasam using 16 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Lemon Ginger Rasam

  1. Prepare 2 of spoon toor dhal.

  2. Prepare 1 of tomato.

  3. Prepare 6 of garlic clove.

  4. Prepare 1 of grren chilli.

  5. Prepare 1 of red chilli.

  6. Prepare leaves of few curry.

  7. You need 1/2 of spoon pepper.

  8. You need 1/2 of spoon jeera.

  9. You need 1/2 of lemon.

  10. Prepare 1/2 inch of ginger.

  11. You need of asofoetida.

  12. Prepare 1/4 of spoon turmeric powder.

  13. You need 1 of spoon salt.

  14. Prepare of small piece of jaggery.

  15. You need 1/2 of spoon mustard.

  16. It’s 1 of spoon oil.

In a pan/kadai add minimal oil.

Ginger lemon rasam method: Heat a kadai with ghee and add the tempering items,one by one.

Mustard,once spluter cumin seeds,asafetida,curry and green chillies and half of the crushed ginger.

Plus point: ginger and lemon contain many nutritional goodies that could help reinforce the immune system in light of the winter and all that comes with it.

Lemon Ginger Rasam step by step

  1. To a mixer Jar add jeera, pepper, garlic, green chilli, red chilli, ginger and few curry leaves.Coarse grind it. Cook the toor dhal in a cooker with water for 2 whistle..

  2. To a kadai add oil then mustard, asofoetida and curry leaves..

  3. Now add the mixture to it. Saute for few sec.Then add the pasted tomato.Saute it for a min..

  4. Add dhal with water and mix well.Then add turmeric powder, salt, jaggery mil it well..

  5. Wait for it to boil then turn off. Now squeeze the lemon and mix it well. Its ready now..
