Suji Halwa. Suji ka halwa or Sheera is a classic Indian semolina pudding made with sugar, ghee and dry fruits. The recipe I have shared is a family heirloom recipe. We have been making this suji halwa recipe for decades during family get togethers, special occasions & festivals.
Sooji Halwa Recipe: Semolina and sugar syrup dessert flavored with cardamom and garnished with almonds.
This Indian Semolina Pudding is also called as Rava Kesari or Rava Sheera in some parts of the country.
Often during Puja or a festive ritual, Suji Halwa is prepared along with Panchamrit in most of the Indian Suji Ka Halwa or Sooji Halwa is a popular Indian dessert which is especially prepared during various festivals and religious functions.

Ingredients of Suji Halwa

It’s 1 cup of Suji.

You need 2 tbsp of Besan.

You need 1/2-3/4 cup of Pure ghee.

Take Suki and Tawa roast it. Then gradually add the ghee and fry on very slow flame. Keep stirring.Add the Besan too.When the suji turns golden and when you can smell nice aroma that means your Suji is nicely roasted.Approx 20 mins..

Add 2 tbsp golden raisins and fry for 2 to 3 mins more.

Warm water in a pot. Make the water just warm not boiling.

Add that water and stir.The water will get absorbed quickly so keep stirring. when the halwa is thick add the cardamon powder.cook till ghee separates and invisible on the sides..

Close the stove and add the sugar.Let the sugar melt in the heat.

Garnish with silvered nuts and serve warm.
